C Street (California Street) in Ventura, California.
C Street is another classic California setup offering a wide variety of waves between the pier and and the Ventura County Fairgrounds. On the right swell you can connect the nearly the full 3/4 mile length of the beach.
Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura, California
Waves here can get big and good with the right swell and conditions. But, even without them, it's hard to beat camping out just steps from the sand. These long stretches of nothing but ocean, sand, highway, and hills that start right around Emma Wood make you feel like you've got a little more breathing room than some of the more paved and built-up spots behind you to the south.
Faria Beach in Ventura, California
It's hard to beat camping just steps away from the Pacific Ocean along the peaceful stretch of California coast that rests along the base of the Santa Ynez mountains. Sunets are top notch here with a clear view of the Channel Islands right off the coast in the distance. Not a bad place to find some fun, playful waves either.
Mondos in Ventura, California
Mondos is another classic Ventura spot that is usually known for mellow, rolling waves, but can get pretty proper with the right swell and tide. Mondos also holds plenty of Ventura County's surf history including being the home of Mondos Mary - Mary Monks - who was one of the first women to surf in the area.
Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard, California
Silver Strand is another local favorite in Oxnard in Ventura County, tucked on a short stretch of sand between Channel Islands Harbor and Port Hueneme Naval Base. It's a good place to escape the crowds, and find some pretty great beachbreak when the surf is on. There's plenty of culture and history to explore on the Strand including plenty of vibrant murals in the area and the La Jenelle Shipwreck built into the breakwall jetty at the entrance to Port Hueneme to the South. On a clear enough day, the Channel Islands sometimes look close enough to skip a rock to.

Solimar in Ventura, California
Solimar sits about midway between Emma Wood and Faria. Surf-wise, Solimar features a few different setups depending on the season, swell, and conditions. Most notable is an outer reef that can get really good on a big winter swell every once in a while. In the distance you can gaze upon the Channel Islands, which is the only place in the Western U.S. where the California brown pelicans breed (West Anacapa and Santa Barbara Islands specifically).
