The Wedge in Orange County in Southern California is a fairly consistent breakwater that works best on South Southwest, South, and Southwest swells. Waves break mostly left here, and the surf will typically work at all tides. The Wedge can produce decent surf within the range of about 2 feet to 20 feet.
Northerly winds at The Wedge tend to produce the most ideal and offshore surf conditions.
The seabed here is mostly sand. Summer is the best season for waves at this spot.
