This design is quite obviously based off the 1967 The Velvet Underground album cover designed by Andy Warhol.
The posterized, black and yellow style of the banana on the classic cover seemed like it would be pretty cool as a fish.
The font for “Wave Arcade” in this design is the same Warhol used for his signature, and it just so happened that the initials of each name are opposites – AW > WA. This shirt was meant to be.
While you can’t peel off the design to reveal anything underneath, we do think you’ll be pretty stoked to pull up to the beach to find “peeling” waves while you’re rushing to toss off this tee and get in the water.
The shirt is real comfy and made from all-natural organic cotton grown and harvested without any fertilizers and pesticides. A good ethical clothing choice that is sure to last and has a low environmental impact.
